My Tinnitus Story
My name is Philip McLaughlin and I’m from Cork in Ireland.
I’ve lived with tinnitus and single sided deafness for 17 years. For approx. 3 of those years, on two separate occasions, tinnitus took over. It was completely intrusive. I couldn’t sleep, I was constantly on edge and I felt trapped with nowhere to run. Thankfully, I have recently habituated to tinnitus for a second time and I’m living a completely normal life again.
Tinnitus can be incredibly challenging. During my most recent tinnitus spike, I decided that when I was back to myself again, I’d start tinnitus coaching. I was already a qualified coach (EMCC Senior Practitioner) and an Emotional Intelligence Practitioner. I also recently qualified as a mindfulness facilitator.
